Golińsk

Golińsk ((ドイツ語:Göhlenau)) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Mieroszów, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Central Statistical Office (GUS) - TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal) )〕 It lies approximately south-east of Mieroszów, south of Wałbrzych, and south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
Göhlenau was the birthplace of Günther Viezenz, a famous German Oberleutnant who singlehandedly destroyed 21 enemy tanks during the Second World War, receiving the tank destruction badge 4 times in gold and once in silver along with other decorations.
