Grantola is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northwest of Milan and about north of Varese. As of 28 February 2007, it had a population of 1,251 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Grantola contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bellaria, Motta, Montebello, and Vicema.
