The tower was built in 1882 as an observation tower and was demolished recently in 2006. It was already closed for visitors and tourists 20 years before it was demolished but still afterwards used by radio amateurs. Iron and stone were used as building materials in constructing the tower. The tower had a spire that was 25 metres long.〔()〕 ==History== The Gustav-Vietor-Tower was built in the town of Taunusstein in 1882. After its long service as an observation tower, the tower was closed for visitors 20 years before it was demolished in the year 2006.
