Gōdo-juku was the fifty-fourth of the sixty-nine stations (''shukuba'') of the Nakasendō. It is located in the present-day city of Gifu, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Gōdo-juku flourished as a post town because it was located next to the Nagara River and there was a ferry service to the other side.〔 ''Gifu City Walking Map''. Gifu Lively City Public Corporation, 2007.〕 ==''Ukiyo-e''== The formal name of the ''ukiyo-e'' print is "Gifu Road Station: Godo, Nagara River Cormorant Fishing Boat" (岐阻路ノ駅 河渡 長柄川鵜飼船 ''Gifu no Michi no Eki: Gōdo, Nagaragawa Ukaibune''). The Gifu City Museum of History offers visitors a chance to make their own copy of the ''ukiyo-e'' that is seen to the left in one of their many hands-on exhibits.〔(Artifact Challenge ).
