Hagalavadi
Hagalavadi is a village council and Hobli headquarters in Tumkur District of Karnataka, India. It belongs to Bangalore Division. It is located 50 km away from the district headquarter Tumkur. Bangalore is the nearest Metropolitan Area to Hagalavadi which is located 120 km from Hagalavadi (to the southeast). ==Etymology== Hagalavadi has the longest history in the Mysore kingdom. The name Hagalavadi came from this history itself. Hagalavadi (Agalavadi) Agala means wide, vadi means "Group" or, "Group of People" living in an area. The name Hagalavadi gradually shifted from Agalavadi (agalavada samsthana) in its history.
