Halwara
Halwara is a township in Punjab state in India. Located in the Ludhiana District close to Village Sudhar, Halwara lies on the Mullanpur-Raikot road. It is also famous for its Air Base.it is 33 km from ludhaina 15 km from mullanpur 6 km from sudhar.In this town the bypass of ludhaina also joins mullanpur raikot road. Recently there were plans to build an international airport in the city . Mayor of Halwara Tita Sanjeev Atreus cancelled the plan. The air force base was under plans to be converted, however the idea was dropped after much debate. Halwara village is well known for its NRI population, which has developed the villages outlook into fancy homes, and flashy cars. ==Geographical parts== Halwara consists of Halwara village, and the township that is centered mostly around the Air Force Domestic area. It is separated from the Sudhar township by the Abohar branch of Satluj river, which flows into the Indus river in Pakistan
