''Highnoon'' is a BASIC game developed by Christopher Gaylo from Syosset High School, New York in early 1970 on a timeshared mainframe computer. The game is single-player and set in the Wild West in 1889. The objective of the game is a showdown between the player and Black Bart. The status of the game, actions available and results of each action are written to the system console as textual descriptions. Turns are taken to either move closer, run, or shoot. Both the player and Bart have four shots and the odds of hitting each other increase as the player closes the 100 paces between each. ''Highnoon'' was written on a timeshared system leased by Syosset High School from 'Call-a-computer' company (Later named Advanced Systems Labs) on Long Island, New York. The program is written in early BASIC and is less than 6.4K due to storage limitations. ''Highnoon'' was a popular game on the Call-A-Computer system and the compiled version was included as a system-wide game by administrators. == External links == * (History of Highnoon computer game ) * (Playable emulation of Highnoon ) * (Another online playable emulation of Highnoon ) * (Arduino conversion of Highnoon ) * (Original source code in text format ) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Highnoon」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
