Hlyboka

Hlyboka (; German and Polish: ''Hliboka''; Romanian: ''Adâncata'') is an urban-type settlement in the Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Hlybotsky Raion (district).
The current estimated population is around 9,800.
Before World War II, large parts of lands of Hlyboka were owned by Polish noble families: until 1892 by Prince Adam Sapieha, then by Bronislaw Skibniewski (1830-1904) and later by his son Aleksander Skibniewski (1868-1942).
