Hurly-Burly
''Hurly-Burly: The International Lacanian Journal of Psychoanalysis'' is a magazine. ==History== This magazine was established by Jacques-Alain Miller in 2009 to replace the bilingual ''Bulletin of the NLS'' (2007–9). The journal is published biannually for the Freudian Field by the New Lacanian School. Besides representing the members of the Societies and affiliated groups that make up the New Lacanian School, the journal regularly features translations of work by Jacques Lacan, Jacques-Alain Miller, and Éric Laurent. The first issue was judged as "absolutely essential reading for anyone interested in psychoanalysis in the Lacanian orientation today".〔Svolos, T., ("Reading ''Hurly-Burly'' Late into the Night" ) in ''Lacanian Compass'', 14 p. 45.〕〔This remark was reiterated by Joel Goldbach in his review of ''Hurly-Burly'' Issue 2 in ''Umbr(a): Writing'', 2010, p. 144.〕 In Tel Aviv in 2012, Éric Laurent, the former President of the World Association of Psychoanalysis, took pains "to iterate just what an instrument of public service the journal of the New Lacanian School is".〔Laurent, E., ("Address at the Xth Congress of the NLS" ), Tel Aviv, June 2012, Lacan.com〕
