Hutuna
Hutuna (Sometimes spelt Hutuana) is a village in the Solomon Islands, on Rennell Island in the Rennell and Bellona province. The village is in a beautiful setting with a sunken PBY Catalina Flying plane sitting in 4 metre of water about 50 metres off the shore. About 30 minutes boat ride from lake end or 1.5hrs walk from Tegano. There is a large playing field in the centre of the village. Hutuna village is the site of the eighth People First Network email station, which was established in 2003. Hutuna was one of the sites which was included in the 2004 JICA-USP research on the impacts of the ICT on rural development.〔University South Pacific http://www.usp.ac.fj/jica/ict_research/pfnet_case_study/pfnet_intro.html accessed October 2008〕 ==Location== Situated on Lake Tegano and most eastern village on the Island. This village is a 3hr drive from Tigoa to Te Vaitahe where the road ends at the lake foreshore. The village is a further 1hr boat trip.
