This town is closely attached to the Shravasti. This is Lord Buddha's place, also called as Buddha Nagari. Every day many peoples come here to see the temples and natural beauty. Two blocks comes under Shravasti district: Ikauna and Bhinga. ==Politics== Mr. Jeetendra Gupta "Guddu" has been the Chairman of Nagar Panchayat Ikauna(Shravasti) since 2007 and ''Pradesh Adhyakash'' of Chairman Welfare Association. He is an active social worker who helps people overcome problems. Jeetendra gupta is not only a chairman but also heart of Ikauna's people.He was elected in 2007 and after his good work in their position he was again elected in 2012. He has done a lot of work for us mainly in electric supply and for roads.
