Ilepcimide
Ilepcimide, also known as antiepilepserine, is a piperidine anticonvulsant. It was synthesized by Chinese researchers as an analogue of piperine, the main alkaloid and phytochemical of black pepper (and of other plants in the ''Piperaceae'' family), which has been used in the treatment of epilepsy in traditional Chinese medicine and as a nerve tonic in traditional Iranian medicine. Ilepcimide has serotonergic activity.〔〔Liu, G.Q., Algeria, S., Ceci, A., Gerattini, S., Gobi, M. and Murai, S.
