The company's shares were registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 19 October 1994 (code: ISAT).〔 Its form of American Depositary Shares are registered at New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:IIT).〔 In 1993, Indosat launched the first mobile phone services in Indonesia, called Satelindo (short for Satelit Palapa Indonesia) and launched the first mobile prepaid card, called Mentari, and postpaid card, called Satelindo Card in Indonesia. In 2001, Indosat launched Indosat-M3, and later was renamed IM3 in 2003. In 2002, Satelindo Card was replaced by Matrix.
