InformNapalm
Inform Napalm — Ukrainian citizen journalism non-profit web site devoted to expose Russian military intervention in Ukraine. To address global establishment, authors of the web site translate their articles into dozen of languages including English, Japanese and Chinese.
The web site was created in the beginning of 2014 when Russians invaded Ukraine and occupied Crimea. Among its major projects, Inform Napalm has investigated the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, is maintaining a database of Russian military units fighting in Ukraine, and disclosing their military symbols. Roman Burko, who has founded this web site, said the first volunteers were from Crimea and Georgia, and then other people joined, from the occupied Donbass, free regions of Ukraine, and the rest of the world.
The articles on the web site are mostly based on the publicly available sources, including social networks. A wide network of insiders located on the occupied territories in Donbass and Crimea checks that information, and provides intelligence about Russian military equipment.〔(We inform the army about weakness of Russian troops - InformNapalm ) (Ukrainian)〕
