Ioko
ioko was a systems integration and IT services company that designed, built and ran digital media platforms for Media and Entertainment companies worldwide.〔http://www.ioko.com/〕 It specialised in application development, media systems integration and dedicated managed services and mostly known for its involvement in the major Video on Demand developments in the UK as well as in the USA and middle east. ioko has been associated with Sky Anytime, ATT Uverse TV, Channel 4's 4 on Demand (4oD), ITV.com, Project Kangaroo and SeeSaw. These VOD implementations have been largely instrumental in creating the emerging broadband VOD market in the UK. ioko were heavily associated with Vignette and Kontiki, although they claim to be platform and vendor agnostic.
ioko also had significant interests in the UK Health sector, providing 3rd party hosting onto the NHS N3 network and full infrastructure for the leading private hospitals in England through the Carelink division.〔http://www.carelink.co.uk/〕
