Jabda
Jabda is a small village in the Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal, India. 80 percent of the population are dependent on agriculture. Local businesses in Jabda are grain, paddy,essential commodities. Here one high school and four primary school in village. My is school, Jabda vidya sagar vidyapith which is a co-ed school. Rising sun club,Youngster club,9 to 99 club, Desh mandir club etc. many clubs are there. The village is quiet and peaceful. The largest fair of the village is Rash Mela. Mela is a ten-day event held in November. Cultural functions are held and singers, dancers and musicians come from all parts of the south-state to participate in the programs.The Rash Yatra Festival is celebrated to remember the love story of Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha, his glorious days that he spent in Brindyavan. The festival takes place every year. That time presents here various stalls of delicacies of Rasogolla, Jilipi, Goja, satpuri and many other Bengali dishes can be experienced at these stalls.
