This village is just on the other side of Waria Railway station and DTPS. It is under the Banjora Gram Panchyat. It is the last village of Mejia Community development Bloc. In old days this village was once considered as the Sanskrit Learning Station. One of the eminent scholar from this village was Sri Suresh chandra Misra. He was the first recipient of MA in Bengali (1945) And again MA in English(1947). He was the recipient of title "Vidyabinode" from Santinikatan, Viswabhariti.
