Jaleb

''Jaleb'' is a French comic book character created by writer Claude J. Legrand and artist Annibale Casabianca for French publisher Editions Lug in 1972.
Jaleb is an alien abandoned on Earth as a baby. Raised by the Jellicoe family, he eventually discovers that he has the power of telepathy. Jaleb eventually meets others like him on Earth. Then he discovers that he comes from a galactic federation torn by a civil war between the ruling class of telepaths and the non-telepaths. After helping the non-telepaths win the war, Jaled chooses to return to Earth as an agent of the Federation.
Eighteen episodes of ''Jaleb'' were originally published in the digest size magazine ''Futura'' in 1972–73. The series was then discontinued.
The character returned in 2002 in ''Special-Zembla'' No. 167, before joining the ''Strangers'', in the eponymous comic-book series, written by Jean-Marc Lofficier. Jaleb's last appearance was in ''Yuma'' No. 9 in 2003.
Jaleb is now part of Hexagon Comics which will publish a trade paperback collection of his adventures translated into English in 2009.
