The Jasgam is a tribe in Pothohar region of Punjab, Pakistan. They originated from the Dhund Abbasi having migrated into the potohar region from the Murree area. They are descendants of the Abbasid General Zarab Khan, head of the military forces in Khorasan before the collapse of the Caliphate. They lived in Dharankot, Kahuta district Rawalpindi, where he is buried and his grave is marked. In 1857, when the British faced a rebellion in the Murree Hills, the Jasgams maintained their neutrality, and as such were left largely untouched by the colonial administration. A Jasgam family in the village of Salitha traditionally held the office of chief, but they no longer hold this position. ==Locality== Jasgam or (Jaskham) This jasgam tribe sometimes spelled as Jaskham belongs to Jat/Rajput clan found in Tehsil Murree, Kahuta and Gujar Khan all three of District Rawalpindi.
