Jaunlatvija
Jaunlatvija ("Young Latvia") is a political party in Latvia.〔(Jaunlatvija website. Latvian language )〕〔(Jaunlatvija website. Russian language )〕
The party, described as socially liberal, was founded on March 28, 2009 at the congress held in the National Theatre in Riga. Didzis Šmits was elected its chairman. Among party declarations, of note are their desire to involve younger people in politics and to integrate non-citizens into Latvian society (see "Russians in Latvia" for the latter issue).〔
