Jhorahat
Jhorahat is a village development committee in Morang District in the Kosi Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2001 Nepal census it had a population of 4844 people with 2457 male population and 2387 female population. ==Toponymy== The village of Jhorahat is named after "Jhora" which means forest and "hat" means Bazaar. The name was kept maybe because the place was habitated by cutting down hugh forest that was present there hundreds of years ago.
