Jobbledygook

Jobbledygook is the term used for inventing ridiculous job titles to make ordinary jobs sound more impressive. It has been discussed at length in the e-books ''90 Tips for Success in Relationships'', ''92 Tips'', and ''How to Talk to Anyone'' (by Leil Lowndes and Derek Sivers).
The term has recently been in UK press after Chris Smith, CEO of the Opinio Group, listed his Top Ten Ridiculous Job Titles, but the phrase has been around for a decade.
Jobbledygook is often written by recruiters who are working in sales-driven environments and who are eager to fill roles for their clients. As a result of this they quite often succumb to the desire to "over-egg" a role, and a jobseeker may consider him or herself a "Growth Hacker" and not a "Marketing Manager".
Jobbledygook has recently made the airwaves in the US on the KRWG network.〔http://krwg.org/post/last-word-business-359〕
In Leil's Tips, the author states in the 'How to be an insider in any crowd' section, "Big winners speak Jobbledygood as a second language," misspelling 'Jobbledygook'.〔http://leil-tips.blogspot.co.uk/〕〔http://theselfemployednetwork.com/tag/good-read-2/〕
An article written on the ShareDiaries website, published on 20 November 2013 introduces jobbledygook as a portmanteau of 'job' and 'gobbledygook'.〔http://www.sharediaries.com/articles/jobbledygook-a-beginner-s-guide〕
