thumb KCLY is a radio station based out of Clay Center, Kansas. It has been providing music, news, sports and weather since the 1970s under the ownership of Taylor Communications. 100.9 FM is ‘Radio For Grown-Ups’, focusing on serving the small communities within the listening area. KCLY is programmed locally, including news, sports and weather. KCLY is a radio station for people who have families; make decisions for households; watch their kids play sports; pay bills and want to know what's happening in their communities. Air personalities include Rocky Downing, Station Manager and Sports Director, who broadcasts the morning show each weekday; Phil Kasper, Assistant Sports Director and Mid-day air personality; Angie Toews, afternoon personality; Angie Komar, host of the "Yesterday Once More" music program that airs each evening; and part-time voices Garla Pierson, Jamie Bloom and Duane Toews. There is a wide variety of music to choose from with KCLY. Daytime Programming features Adult Contemporary, Country and Christian artists along with favorites from the 70’s; 80’s and 90’s. If you want a look back at your favorites then check out the ‘Vinyl Years’ weeknights from 6-10 p.m., with 60’s tunes at 6; 70’s at 7; 80’s at 8 and at 9, Rocky and Phil go "Backstage" with an in-depth look at an artist or specific theme. Or if you like older music, tune in for ‘Yesterday Once More’ each night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. And Saturday nights you can ‘Flip Thru the 70’s’ with Phil "Flip" Kasper. KCLY provides extensive news and sports coverage in the KCLY Community. Daily 7, Noon and 5 news reports look in detail at the area and live play-by-play action can be found throughout the school year of the Clay Center Tigers, along with the other high schools within the listening area. KCLY also provides in-depth severe weather coverage, with a severe weather team that is on-call 24 hours every day.
