Korea Development Institute
The Korea Development Institute (KDI) is an autonomous economic policy think tank that was set up by the South Korean government. The Institute was founded in 1971, during a period of fast economic growth, to provide research and analysis of economic policy decisions. KDI aims to contribute to the government and people both in the public and private sectors by providing effective and timely national policy alternatives. KDI concentrates its research on key current issues, develops strong international research network and diverse interdisciplinary joint research projects and actively promotes its research results through internal and external communications. ==Vision==
Visionary Frontier For The National Agenda: In understanding its role and responsibility as a leading economic think tank, KDI will strive to set new targets for Korea to achieve greater prosperity. With its eyes on the economic horizon, KDI will focus on research activity that can provide vision and direction for greater prosperity. In doing so, KDI will answer the need for growth models suited to the ever-changing domestic and international environments.
