KKPK

KKPK (92.9 FM) is an adult contemporary-formatted radio station licensed to Colorado Springs, Colorado. The station serves the Colorado Springs and Pueblo metropolitan areas, as well as surrounding areas. It is currently owned by Cumulus Media.
Peak FM is well known in the community for its massive widespread community and non-profit involvement, with such promotions as the "Peak FM Pantry Raid."
As of late 2008, Peak FM has one of the highest ratings in the Colorado Springs market, while competing with cross-town rivals KKLI and KDZA-FM.
==92.9 FM history==
In the 1980s, 92.9 FM was home to KSPZ, which featured an adult contemporary format and used the on-air handle "Z93". In early 1990, KSPZ flipped to an oldies format and took on the slogan "Oldies 92.9." KSPZ's oldies format evolved to classic hits in the fall of 2005, adding more songs from the '70s and '80s, while dropping most '50s and early '60s titles.
In June 2006, locally owned Pikes Peak Broadcasting sold KRDO-FM 95.1 FM "The Peak," to Citadel Broadcasting, who changed the station to Cat Country 95.1 (KATC). Citadel Broadcasting then adopted the "Peak" moniker for the 92.9 frequency soon thereafter. On October 5, 2006, KSPZ became "The New Peak FM," adopting the call letters KKPK.
The new format combined the classic hits of the '70s and '80s with the newer titles that the original KRDO-FM offered as a Hot AC format.
The announcement of the new station was made by the morning show at 9:29 am on the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Citadel merged with Cumulus Media on September 16, 2011.
