KLEW-TV
KLEW-TV, broadcast on digital channel 32 and is the CBS television affiliate in Lewiston, Idaho. It serves north-central Idaho and southeastern Washington, including nearby Pullman. While it is located in the Spokane television market, it is a semi-satellite of KIMA-TV in Yakima and KEPR-TV in Tri-Cities, Washington. However, it identifies as a station in its own right, airing separate commercials and a separate newscast. The station is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. The station's studios are located on 17th Street in Lewiston, and its transmitter is located near Clarkston, Washington. KLEW is broadcast alongside KREM-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV through the entire Spokane television market. == History == KLEW-TV signed on the air December 7, 1955. KLEW was originally owned by Noel Broadcasting. The station's original studio facilities were located on Idaho Street in Lewiston. In 1977, the station moved its original studios on Idaho Street to their current location on 17th Street. Noel Broadcasting sold the station to Retlaw Broadcasting in 1986. Fisher Communications purchased KLEW-TV along with the other Retlaw owned stations in 1999. On April 11, 2013, Fisher announced that it would sell its properties, including KLEW-TV, to the Sinclair Broadcast Group. The deal was completed on August 8, 2013.
