Katreni-kona is a village and a Mandal in East Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=List of Sub-Districts )〕 ==Geography== Katrenikona is a village and one of the major gram panchayats in Mummidivaram assembly constituency. Earlier it was the part of erstwhile Cheyyeru constituency and subsequently merged with Mummidivarm assembly constituency. Katrenikona is the mandal headquarters and has a total mandal population of 74,809 as per 2011 census. Katrenikona is well connected to Amalapuram (21 km), Mummidivaram (10 km)and Kakinada (50 km), with state transport buses being the major form of transportation. The people live with great peace and harmony, and they are famous for their hospitality and affection towards others. Katrenikona is famous for Lord Shiva temple and Goddess Maavullamma temple. Katrenikona village is frequently affected by cyclones. Its neighbouring villages are Pallamkurru, Cheyyeru, and the Bay of Bengal runs past its eastern periphery. Average rainfall is around 115 centimeters. The majority of the people depend on agriculture, aqua culture and other general businesses. The most important agricultural products are paddy (rice) and coconut. There is a big agricultural market which contributes a lot to the panchayat revenue.
