The Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations is an umbrella organisation of Haredi Jewish communities in London and has an estimated membership of over 6,000. It was founded in 1926 with the stated mission "to protect traditional Judaism"〔UOHC Luach 5767〕 and has an affiliation of over a hundred synagogues and educational institutions.
