Kelaroo
Kelaroo, based in San Diego, California, USA, is a software and consulting company which supplies consulting, commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS), and on-demand scientific software (SaaS) to pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and related industries and research institutes. The company was founded in 2000 by Andrew Reum and Robert Feinstein and has since remained independent. On September 5, 2007, Kelaroo announced that it had expanded its contract research with Amylin Pharmaceuticals and received a strategic equity investment. Kelaroo's proprietary SeqR(TM)technology was utilized to develop Amylin's PHINDER system for peptide hormone identification and optimization. SeqR(TM) technology is an innovative sequence-profiling approach that combines machine learning methods and high performance sequence analysis tailored for genome-scale data mining and sequence optimization.
