Kenexa, an IBM Company provides employment and retention solutions to assist organizations in hiring and keeping workers. Such services include Kenexa recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) (which assists in global recruiting); onboarding solutions (form management for electronic signature, legal documents and workflow tracking); employee assessment to assist organizations in obtaining and keeping qualified employees, Kenexa Prove It,〔()〕 abilities assessment to choose and target employment candidates; Kenexa Interview Builder, a structured interview archive with example questions as well as employment branding solutions. ==History== In 1987, Kenexa began by providing recruitment services to a broad range of industries, creating its first automated recruiting management system as well as providing employee research and employee performance management integrated with on-demand software all during their first decade of operation. Prior to 1998, the company had purchased fifteen organizations, expanding on their existing profile by allowing them to offer on-demand human capital management services. During the next 3 years, expanded their focus on workforce performance management solutions and recruitment outsourcing by acquiring four additional companies. These organizations allowed the company to offer employee screening, behavioral assessment and skills testing products. In 2005, the company realized its initial public offering followed by the acquisition of BrassRing LLC, Gantz Wiley Research, Knowledge Workers Inc., Psychometric Services and Webhire, which preceded the purchase of HRC Human Resources Consulting GmbH and StraightSource in 2007, which expanded their business in Europe. From 2008-2009, Kenexa continued to expand globally by its ownership of more than 30 offices in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. The company also took control of Quorum International Search Limited. This action was followed in 2010 by Kenexa's most recent acquisitions of the Centre for High Performance Development and Salary.com. The company acquired Salary.com in August 2010.〔()〕 On August 27, 2012, it was announced that Kenexa had been acquired by IBM for $1.3 billion.
