Kertee
Kertee is a village in Tharparkar, Sindh, Pakistan, 21 kilometres south of the city of Mithi, known as Kertigarh under the rule of the Makwana clan. It is called Karli Nagar in the Gujrati language.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Jay Mataji: Zala Clan, Jhala Clan, Jhala Vansh, Zala Vansh. )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Full text of "Annals and antiquities of Rajasthan, or The central and western Rajput states of India" )
The village is inhabited by ethnic groups such as the Sodha, Harijan, Bheel, Maher, Bhatti Jadeja and some Muslims groups. However, Sodha represents the majority of the population. Kertee is famous for an ancient well, known to be made by the Pandavas during their exile and temples of local deities like Pir Pithora, Oghar Nath, Pir Bhavsingh, Mard Ali Shah.
==History==

During the 12th century, the village's ruling clan was the Makwana, under the authority of Kesar Makwana. As Hamir, Sumra of Amarkot killed his own father. Kesar Makwana swore an oath to avenge him. In the 12th century a war erupted between the Maharaja of Kirtigarh, Shri Kesar dev Makwana, and the emperor of Sindh, Hamir Sumra. Eventually the Makawanas lost the war, with only prince Kesardevji and Harpal Devji (hiding in a jungle) surviving the onslaught.
Legend says that, during his exile, he learned black magic arts from the Rishi Munies who were living there. Desiring to recover his kingdom, he later moved to Anhilpur patan (Gujarat), where he lived in the house of a relative, Karnadev Solanki. Concealing his identity, he gained a favourable position in the palace of Raj Darbar in Anhilpur Patan, thanks to his prowess in archery and sword fighting. When the king of Karna Dev was concerned about a rebellious leader named Babaro Bhut, he chose to send Harpal Dev to defeat him, to test his bravery.
Harpal Dev won the battle against Babaro, but also managed to befriend him. Babaro and his men helped Harpal Dev rebuild the fort of Patan. As a reward for this work, Karna Dev gave Harpal Dev authority over some villages near Patadi. Harpal Dev then married Shakti, the daughter of his relative Karnadev Solanki, who helped him after his exile. Shakti is revered as the mother goddess of the Zala people. Two of Zala's main statues in Gujarat are Limdi and Wankaner.
Zala people claim to have descended from Harpal Dev and Shakti Devi. Harpal Dev had nineteen sons, one of whom was Manguji Limbdi, whose son is Karansinhji Samla. The main Zalan municipalities are Dhrangadhra and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat, and Zalawar, in Rajasthan. They also founded Udaipur District of Rajasthan. Zala princely states, such as Zalawar, Labhowa and Wankaner were in these areas. Some Zala are also found in Uttar Pradesh.
After Raja Chandersen of the Sodha people led a military invasion, the city of Kertigarh (also called Karli Nagar) was captured, and the Sodhas became its rulers. Raja Chandersen was a warrior among the Ravaji Sodha clan. He ruled this village for a long time. He had one son, Maghji Sodha, but because he was a devote of deity Oghar Nath, he chose not not marry. However, the legend says that Oghar Nath commanded him to marry Maher's daughter.
