Khuhro
Khuhro ((ウルドゥー語:کھوڑو)) (((In Sindhi کهڙو))) is a Sindhi tribe in Sindh, Pakistan.
According to history of Khuhro Surname in Persian language, Khuhro’s are basically Arabs tribe came with Muhammad Bin Qasim and settled in Bay of Indus River in near Larkana and Khairpur Mirs, regions. Khuhro are ancestors of Hazrat Ukel (R.A) The Uncle of Hazrat Ali (R.A) Quresh Qabila.
Most notable person Mr. Muhammad Ayub Khuhro who struggled in Pakistan movement with Hazrat Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah (R.A) after independence of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Ayub khuhro was the first C.M of Sindh Province, later two more times he remained C.M Sindh and as well as former Defense minister of Pakistan. His daughter Dr. Hamida khuhro former education minister of Sindh and his nephew Mr. Nisar Ahmed khuhro former speaker Sindh assembly are prominent personalities in Sindh, Current Sardar of khuhro community is Sardar Asadullah khuhro who is the grandson of Mr. Late Muhammad Ayub khuhro.
Khuhro community mostly belong to landlord, feudalist profession, but new generations are engage in contemporary fields of scientific and globalized world, professions are educationists, PhD’s, Deans, lectures, professors, medical doctors, engineers, Pak Army officers, police officers, civil officers and some have self-businesses.
