Kiddy-Widdy-Winkies

"Kiddy-Widdy-Winkies" is an original song from the musical, ''Chitty Chitty Bang Bang''. It was first performed by actor Richard O'Brien as "The Child Catcher" while he is in search of children wandering the streets of Vulgaria. The song was written by Robert B. Sherman & Richard M. Sherman in fall of 2001. The song was not part of the original 1968 film version canon of songs, but was written 34 years later in 2001 by the same songwriters.
==Lyrics and rhythm==

* The words "Kiddy-Widdy-Winkies" have the same rhythm as the title of play, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang".
* In an attempt to give the song an "other-worldliness", the Sherman Brothers first wrote the song in the unusual 5/4 signature. That version was eventually adjusted to 3/4 time.
* In 2003 the song was revised by the Sherman Brothers to bringing it into first person. It was originally sung from a third person point of view. The original, third person version of the lyric can be heard on the original cast recording as performed by Richard O'Brien.
