Kidwan Kidwan is a village located in Egypt in the Minya Governorate, due south of the governorate capital, Minya. In 2001, Kidwan's crop of cauliflower grown in the field in town contracted root rot disease, resulting in a loss of the entire crop.〔("New Zealand journal of crop and horticultural science" ), Volumes 31-32, by the New Zealand. Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research, DSIR Publishing, 2003, Pg. 209〕 The root rot disease had followed from the previous year's crop of wheat, which had contracted a similar damping off disease that was found to be caused by Pythium diclinum.〔Abdelzaher, Hani, ("Occurrence of damping-off of wheat caused by Pythium diclinum tokunaga in El-Minia, Egypt and its possible control by Gliocladium roseum and Trichoderma harzianum" ), Informaworld〕 ==References==
