''kiḷippaṭṭu'' or ''parrot song'' is a genre of Malayalam poems in which the narrator is a parrot, a bee, a swan, and so on. kiḷippaṭṭu popularized by the 16th-century poet Ezhuthachan (The Father Of The Malayalam language).
