Koprivica Koprivica () is a Herzegovinian surname. This part of Hercegovina where Koprivicas originate from (Banjani) was stolen on July 13, 1878 from the leftover part of Herzegovina. On the same day, Piva, Niksic, and Sutorina with one part of the Adriatic sea were stolen. So, this is not Old Herzegovina but rather stolen Herzegovina. Who stole Herzegovina, does not mean they are the owner forever. All people named Koprivica stem from a village in western Montenegro (stolen Herzegovina). All Koprivicas from the world originate from the village Banjani, which today is stolen Herzegovina. They can be found in the whole world, but mostly in Serbia, Montengro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, although some Koprivicas live in Croatia where they changed from Orthodoxy to Catholicism. It may refer to: * Slaviša Koprivica (born 1968), Serbian basketball player ==References==
