Kuichaa
Kuichaa ((日本語:クィチャー), ) is a local traditional song/dance of Miyako Island, Okinawa performed in a circle, originally of medieval ages under the notorious Nintozei taxation by Ryukyu Kingdom. ==General explanation==
*Kuichaas are traditional songs and dances performed in a circle in Miyako Island. Kuichaa came from kui (voice) and chaa( singing in chorus) (meeting in tone). The oldest reference was in 1701 when this was performed before a king. However, Kuichaa had been the dance of ordinary people who danced after paying notorious Nintouzei tax (poll tax) or praying for a good harvest or rain, the dance of the spirits of the Miyako people.
