Plane of top of head sloping forward, occipital region raised and extending beyond occiput. Body laterally compressed, covered with imbricate keeled scales. A strong transverse gular fold present. Gular pouch absent. Limbs very long, infradigital lamellae with a median tubercle-like keel. Femoral pores absent. Tail very long, round in cross section. Lateral teeth tricuspid, pterygoid teeth present. Clavicle loop-shaped proximally. Sternal fontanelle absent. Abdominal ribs absent.〔Boulenger, G.A. 1885.
