Many miners lost their jobs due to cuts. Lamptopia was destroyed in the devastating War of the Potato Farmers. 1,078 citizens were lost that sad winter day in 1802. The remaining population rebuilt what was left of Lamptopia and formed now what is Lampland. In 1819, Lampland reached its peak as it became one of the greatest trading posts for copper.
