Laterina is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about southeast of Florence and about northwest of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,510 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Laterina contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ponticino, Casanuova, and Vitereta.
