Lavarone (Cimbrian: ''Lavròu'', (ドイツ語:Lafraun)) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about southeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,109 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Lavarone contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions): Chiesa, Cappella, Gionghi, Masetti, Villanova, Longhi, Magrè, Slaghenaufi, Bertoldi, Nicolussi, Piccoli, Oseli, Gasperi, Lanzino, Albertini, Rocchetti, Malga Laghetto, Stengheli, Azzolini and Masi di Sotto. Lavarone borders the following municipalities: Caldonazzo, Luserna, Folgaria, Pedemonte, Levico Terme and Lastebasse.
