Leporano
Leporano is a town and ''comune'' in the Taranto province in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. ==Overview== The municipality of Leporano is a little maritime town at the Ionian sea southeast of Rome in the Province of Taranto. The town, known for the widely seen fortress “Castello Muscettola”, the “Saturo” watch tower and the port of “Pirrone” has approximately 7,000 inhabitants and covers , with a density of 385 persons per square kilometre. Leporano's distance from Rome is , from Florence and from Venice . The coat of arms of the township contains a red rabbit jumping on a blue background topped by a noble count's crown and at the bottom is surrounded by a green laurel wreath. Leporano is also famous for the aristocratic Italian family and house of the princes of Leporano.
