Linnanen is a high fashion company based in Helsinki, Finland, specialised in the design and manufacture of reversible fur coats. It was founded by Helmi-Hanna Linnanen in 1939. == History == * In 1940s – Production commences during the autumn of 1939. * In 1940-1950 – The main products were custom- and tailor made fur coats as well as “haute couture” for the demanding domestic clientele. * In 1960-1970 – The production of reversible fur coats started. * By the end of the 70’s – Linnanen started to design colourful fur coats with less weight; a rapid transition from a domestic studio to an international manufacturer and exporter. * In 1980 – The first collection was presented in Japan. Export to Japan begins. * In the beginning of 1990’s starts a change towards fashion coats. These utilised beautiful combination of high quality natural fabrics like silk and fur. The growth of export; the coats were sent to more than 10 countries. * Today – Linnanen exports coats to over 20 countries.
