M3SonicShowdown
The M3SonicShowdown, started on May 4, 2009, is an indie video event hosted by M3Radio. The event was developed to celebrate and provide exposure for all independent music by giving indie musicians the opportunity to grow as an artist while building a fan base.〔Indie video contest. == How It Works ==
M3SonicShowdown events are held every season. Independent artists have the opportunity to enter their videos into the event. All video submissions are posted on M3Radio’s M3SonicShowdown YouTube channel. Postings are then viewed, rated, and commented on. The video that receives the most views, based upon YouTube’s independent viewer counter, is deemed the winner of the event and the event prizes.
Some event prizes include free radio and press promotion campaigns. As well as, the winner or the winner’s CD cover will appear on over 25,000,000 banner ads on high traffic social networking web sites across the Internet. Both of which can give a new up and coming artists maximum exposure.
