MAP1LC3B
Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''MAP1LC3B'' gene.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=81631 )〕 == Function ==
The product of this gene is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, which are involved in microtubule assembly and important for neurogenesis. Studies on the rat homolog implicate a role for this gene in autophagy, a process that involves the bulk degradation of cytoplasmic component.〔 The rat homolog is regulated post-translationally by covalent linkage to phosphatidylethanolamine in the autophagic membrane, and regulated by protein kinase A phosphorylation.
