Ma'munids

Maʾmunids ((ペルシア語:مأمونیان)), were an independent dynasty of Iranian rulers〔
("ĀL-E MAʾMŪN (or Maʾmunids)" in Encyclopedia Iranica by C.E. Bosworth )〕 in Chorasmia.〔Clifford Edmund Bosworth, The New Islamic Dynasties: A Chronological and Genealogical Manual, Columbia University, 1996.〕 Their reign was short-lived (995-1017) and were in turn replaced by the expansionist Ghaznavids.
==Rulers and Kingdom==

The ancient Iranian kingdom of Khwarazm had been ruled until 995 by the old established line of Afrighids of Kath.〔 Khwarazm, or the classical Chorasmia, was the well irrigated and rich agricultural region of lower Oxus. Surrounded on all sides by steppe land and desert, it was geographically isolated from other areas of civilization. This isolation allowed it to maintain a separate distinctive Iranian language and culture.〔
The Ma'munids replaced the ancient line of Afrighid Khwarazmshahs. The name of the rulers of this were:
1. Ma'mun I ibn Muhammad 385/995
2. Abu al-Hasan Ali 387/997
3. Ma'mun II ca. 399/1008-09
Folāna
4. Abu'l-Harith Muhammad 407-08/1017
They were in turn displaced by the Ghaznavids.
