Malkajgiri
Malkajgiri is a suburban neighbourhood of the city of Hyderabad, located in the state of Telangana, India. Malkajgiri is one of the most populated mandals in the Ranga Reddy District. It is governed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, and has representation in the Telangana Legislative Assembly and the Parliament of India. It is also one of the three parliamentary constituencies of the city of Hyderabad, the other two being Hyderabad and Secunderabad. ==Demographics== India census, Malkajgiri had a population of 175,000. The population is 51% male and 49% female. Malkajgiri has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 65%. In Malkajgiri, 7% of the population is under 6 years of age. As of the latest election in 2014, its MP is Malla Reddy of the Telugu Desam Party. Malkajgiri, one of the largest constituencies in the country with about 30 lakh voters, is also unique because people from Seemandhra are considered crucial for victory in this constituency, though it is situated geographically in Hyderabad and its fringes. Malkajgiri is dubbed as an Andhra enclave in Telangana in view of the substantial population of people from Seemandhra. It is known as Andhra of Hyderabad.
