Manitonquat
Francis Talbot, known by the pen names, Manitonquat and Medicine Story (born July 17, 1929), is a storyteller who claims to be a keeper of native lore of the Wampanoag Nation of Massachusetts and also to be the ceremonial medicine man of the Assonet Band. These claims, as well as his claim to Native American ancestry, have been heavily disputed. He is the author of eleven books on New Age spirituality. He has participated in many Rainbow Gatherings, leading rituals for the Rainbow Family. He spends most of his time in Europe, but still regularly tours the United States, giving lectures and workshops on spirituality.〔Fienstien, Alice, (Prescription for Mother Earth ), Spokane Chronicle, June 26, 1982〕〔Grey, Victoria (Worldly religions find their way to Franklin ), Sunday, March 15, 2009〕 ==Circle Way Village== With his European partner, he runs camping events for hippies and New Agers, primarily in Europe, known as "Circle Way" Camps.
