Mankhaqucha (Quechua ''mankha'' a gap deformed by continuous use, ''qucha'' lake,〔Teofilo Laime Acopa, Diccionario Bilingüe, Iskay simipi yuyay k'ancha, Quechua – Castellano, Castellano – Quechua (Quechua-Spanish dictionary〕〔Diccionario Quechua - Español - Quechua, Academía Mayor de la Lengua Quechua, Gobierno Regional Cusco, Cusco 2005 (Quechua-Spanish dictionary)〕 hispanicized spelling ''Mancacocha'') is a lake in Peru located in the Junín Region, Jauja Province, Canchayllo District.〔escale.minedu.gob.pe - UGEL map of the Jauja Province (Junín Region) showing Mankhaqucha (unnamed) south of the mountain Challwaqucha ''(Chalhuacocha)'' and east of the lake Llaksaqucha ''(Llacsacocha)''〕 It lies east of the lake Llaksaqucha, southwest of the lake Challwaqucha and south of the mountain Challwaqucha ''(Chalhuacocha)''. Mankhaqucha is connected with the lake Chakip'aki (Quechua for "foot fracture", hispanicized ''Chaquipaque'') southeast of it, situated at the foot of the mountain Chakip'aki.
