Masqualero

Masqualero (1983-1991) was a Jazz band from Norway, originally named ''The Arild Andersen/Jon Christensen Quintet'', but soon changed its name to Masqualero.〔 Store Norske Leksikon (in Norwegian)〕
==Biography==
In addition to Arild Andersen (double bass) the band consisted of Jon Christensen (drums), Jon Balke (keyboards), Tore Brunborg (saxophone) and Nils Petter Molvær (trumpet).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Masqualero - Bransjeregister )〕 Balke left the band after two album releases, and was replaced by Frode Alnæs (guitar) who participated on the third album ''Aero''. During the last few years (and on their last album), the band had neither a pianist or guitarist and performed as a quartet. They toured in USA, Canada and Europe in addition to several venues in Norway.

The band was awarded three times Spellemannprisen in the class Jazz.〔
